Find Your Inner Bad Ass! Goal Setting And Staying Motivated!

Thought about giving up? DON”T YOU DARE BE THAT PERSON! You know why? Because RIGHT NOW your inspiring people! YES YOU! You may not know this little fact but you are! Friends, family, work colleagues, acquaintances and strangers! You have the power to help someone achieve their goals and isn’t that in its self such a wonderful and beautiful thing? You have the power to show others that what some people call impossible is in fact possible… you know why? Because impossible spells I’m possible hehehe :p… All jokes a side though YOU do. What stops you from achieving such great things as Sir Edmund Hillary, Michael Jordan or Michael Phelps? Seriously WHAT? And don’t you dare give yourself some lame excuse! Oh it’s too much hard work, it takes too long, oh I just can’t do that… BULLSH!T! Embrace the power, embrace the inspiration, embrace the fight and embrace the bad ass in you.
Reaching your dreams is going to take all you have plus more but if you keep fighting and giving it your all, you will get there! Always make goals as you know exactly what you have to do to get to where you want to be. They are your stepping stones in reaching your dreams. The wonderful things you learn on your journey will change your life and the life of others. You get to experience so much magnificent things and learn and grow from it to be your best and that is truly the beauty of life. We have one life so stop the bullsh!t, stop the excuses and stop complaining and get out there and live this life for you and your dreams. Fight the bad days and let them remind you of how strong you are by getting out there and getting it done. Also let the bad days remind you to live life to the fullest on your good days and to smile and laugh as much as possible and to give it all your magic and might. Your story, your fight and your struggle is what makes your journey real and inspirational! Don’t ever be ashamed of your struggle because it’s part of what makes your journey and is going to be able to help so many other people going through the same thing.

Sometimes you forget about how lucky you are to be able to do things and to have your health. I was sick for 10 years and I couldn’t exercise. My peers at school would tell me how lucky I was that I didn’t have to do P.E or athletics but they didn’t realise how much I would’ve given to be able to be a part of P.E class, sports days, to run around, exercise and have fun. You really don’t know what you have till it’s gone. I’m now very fortune it to be able to do exercise and to have my health. It is truly a gift to me and I intend on making the most of it. Just a imagine for a few moments if you lost your health, if you couldn't exercise at all, imagine all the people who can’t exercise or are sick and would give ANYTHING to be in your shoes. Always remember how much you have in life and how much your body and what it can do is a gift. So say I’m possible and get out there! Flex those guns, lift heavy sh!t, run, run, run and be bad ass! ;)

My key tips for goal making!
·     Have a massive (or several) goals and dreams!
·     Make little goals within that. (E.g. have a weekly or fortnightly goal)
·     Reward yourself for reaching that little goal (Not food!) (e.g. every 2kg I gain or whatever little goal I have, once I get there I will get a piercing, tattoo, new clothing or go for a run)
·     Inspiration boards, posters and photos
·     Always make a new goal for the one you’ve just accomplished. Never get complacent!

My long list of tips for staying motivated!
(For those times your running on empty) :)

· Take pictures and track progress
· Train for an event, competition or certain goals
· Tell people your goals! (Holds you accountable!)
· Rewards for each little goal you reach (I repeat not food!)
· Visualise yourself doing, achieving and succeeding!
· Fitness motivational posters, videos and music
· Embrace the mind set of your favourite inspirations (My personal favourites are Greg Plitt, Dana Linn Bailey, Jamie Eason, Jillian Michaels, Gala Darling, Furious Pete and Bob Harper!)
· Change up your routine (Whether it’s your workout program, the time of day you train or the type of training)
· Have fun with it! (Dress up ridiculous and work out, skip around the gym, use sarcasm when you don’t feel like doing something but do it anyway, act manly and do bicep curls in the mirror!)
· Call bullsh!t on your excuses but also know when to listen to your mind, body and soul
· Surround yourself with positive and encouraging people who support you in your goals
· Let people inspire you (Whether it's old people at the gym staying fit and healthy, someone competing or transforming their body let their magic rub off on you!)
· Have a rest day (Yes I did say a rest day!) Sometimes when you’re going hardcore you begin to really hate what you love and need a day away from it to miss it
· Positive self talk baby!

· Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) (You may think this is full of crap but give it ago, you have nothing to lose! Below is a video of Gala Darling demonstrating EFT!)

Love from the land of magic
Rainbow :) xoxo
