Merry Christmas and Goodbye 2015!

2015 has been a hard year for me, as some of you know my job life kind of fell apart earlier this year and I have been struggling on where I'm going next and how. Several months later I also found out that I was going to have to move flats as well which having 2 major things in life (job and living) being in a place of change and having minimal income has been pretty stressful. This has also been a time where my recovery has been tested and it's been hard not to fall backwards, it's been one foot in front of the other and I always know that what I have to do to keep myself in recovery has to always come first because without doing so I wouldn't be here. I'm grateful for the amazing and supportive people in my life who are always there for me especially my parents. Thank you! <3

It wasn't until my support worker said to me that I had done a lot of character building this year that I realised I had, even in the times we feel like we're not achieving things it can often be the place where we're growing and learning the most. A lot of the posts I've written this year have been about my struggles that I've been facing and turning it into power which I know you guys need that help and inspiration just as much as I do. We're all in the ups and downs of life together and well in all honesty I'm ready to say goodbye 2015 and hello 2016!

Some highlights of this year include making friends through this blog and seeing all the individuality, creativity and support in this community it is so damn cool to see and be a part of. I am so proud of each and every one of you! I plucked up the courage to make my 1st Youtube video (Technically 2nd... I made one last year and deleted it after a few months!) and continue to make more! I finished my 2nd bulk and cut which all up took 1.3 years and I put 2-2.5kg muscle. I hit a personal best on my 1 rep max for squat of 62.5kg not too far off 1.5x my body weight! (Ummm holy sh!t) I have a really amazing and supportive trainer Bart who has been there through all the struggles of this year, I'm really grateful to know he has my back and shares his knowledge with me! My story got shared in a local fitness journal which I am so grateful for, I found true love for my legs and the answer for why we never feel good enough. I had Powerpuff girls inspired hair, Alice In Wonderland and their off springs here and here! I also shared my Hair Timeline and I celebrated 4 years recovery, my 22nd birthday and Valentines Day! I also had a couple of self love dates at one of my favourite places here and here!

Sadly we lost one of my biggest idols and inspirations Greg Plitt this year. He was the top fitness model in the world and a motivational speaker who has left an incredible legacy behind him of #beremembered. The way he lived his life, inspired and helped people is beyond incredible and I encourage you to check out the video below.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to read my blog, to leave such kind comments and for all your support and love. I love you guys! <3

I'm going to be taking a 2 week break from blogging, youtube and social media to have some well needed me time but no need to fear if you still need some inspiration I'll still be putting out throw back posts! Wishing you all a safe, merry and happy Christmas and New Years! <3 Goodbye 2015 and bring on 2016 beautiful people!

With love
Rainbow :) xoxo

  8. I LOVED the candidness of this post. My most recent post had a glimpse into a smaller scale, but none the less chronic "behind the scenes" issue that didn't show in one of my photos to break the "social media promotes perfection" cycle. I hope 2016 finds you to be very healthy, happy, and conquering the world. I've VERY happy that we "met" this year as I feel we'd be friends in real life. XOXOXOXO

  9. Sounds like it was hard, but considering the fact, how it is ending, beautiful year, dear, you achieved so many goals, especially you created your first (ok, technically speaking - 2nd) video on YT and from that time, you inspire people to be better and to not giving up, even when it's hard. It's so amazing that you shared with your experience with others, Rainbow :) Merry Christmas to you and your family, dear friend!
