Will I Ever Be A Rainbow?

5 years ago I wrote a song called "Will I Ever Be A Rainbow?" it went a little something like this:

"Is everything I'm fighting for a lie
Cause I can't see the other side
I want to be free, free from this demon inside
Is this all for nothing
I don't see the bright shining light
At night the tears roll down my face
Will I ever be a Rainbow?"
Sometimes we can't see the other side and sometimes all we can see in ourselves is worthlessness, never good enoughs and a nobody but I want you to know the other side exists and I want you to know that you are a very special and extraordinary somebody who's colours will shine if you put in the work. It's a process of many ups and downs but trust me it exists and you will shine brighter than you could've ever imagined.

With magic from me to you
Rainbow :) xoxo

  1. Rainbow, I love this little song . I needed this post, sometimes especially when you're ill it's very very difficult to see the other side and it's really scary not believing you'll ever get better when you have those days where it hurts so much and getting better feels like the least realistic idea ever and you feel hopeless... I've been having a few of these days recently and this post has been very comforting , thank you <3

    lots of love, Marianne xxx

  4. I really like this song, which you wrote 5 years ago, dear! What's more, totally agree with you that sometimes it takes a lot of time to see that we're extraordinary and special. But we have to remember that the other side of us, the better and colorful one, exists. Hope you're having terrific day, my dear friend :)
PS: Did you do something with your hair? Because maybe I'm not right, but it seems that they look different :P

  7. I definitely needed to read this post and be reminded that it'll all be okay on the other side - it's so easy to get wrapped up in the problems that are happening now that you forget how temporary things are. Also your hair looks killer, you remind me of those instagram girls that I'm constantly liking the pictures of and hoping one day I'll get the confidence to emulate :')
